Monday (Christmas) inspiration

Hoi everyone.
How are you'll doing these last days close to Christmas?
Me.. i'm doing just fine...I'm done with most of the Christmas decorations

I keep my magazines, especially Country Living.
And every year around Christmas time I go through the
December issue from previous years for inspiration.

Angel stitcheries

I made some of these little angel bags a few years ago.
And today I came across unfinished angels in a box.



I went looking for a needle, embroidery floss and start stitching.
Then a bit of sewing...and tada...



One little stitchery angel bag finished.

Thrift shopping,

Hi everyone,

Love this time of year !

And although it's about the busiest time there's always a litlle moment,

  

to do some thriftshopping.

And this time I found something special to show you,

A small rug that was framed.

My mother said,

 it are little banner images that came with a pack of cigarettes before the war

(around 1940) and people collected them.

I love how they are sewn together

and wonder

who it could have made ​​and in what circumstances.

This is what I love about thriftshopping!

Christmas spirit

Tonight we celebrated Sinterklaas with the traditional presents,
pepernoten en marsepein. We had a very lovely time.
Today the Sint silently leaves and goes back to Spain.

 For me that is the moment to start with a few
Christmas decorations here and there.
I can't wait..So to get me into Christmas spirit I browsed through
my flickr stream for Christmassy photos from previous years.

Knitting inspiration,

A few weeks ago our mother bought this book.I'm totally in love with these cute knitting men! 

And except in magazines they are also on youtube.

So cute! But thers's one thing...

 I'm not a knitter!!!

I would love to make these patterns!

Our mother came with this jute fabric.

"I don't like to use jute, mom"

Although...

Now I used the knitting pattern to embroider

And I'm going to make a little

christmas giftbag for in the tree
