A girls trip to London

by Heleen
Just finished this new bag.

I'm pleased with the result, and love the warmth of the colors and look of the bag.

The checked fabric and the wide band are also doing well together, don't you think?

A GIRLS TRIP TO LONDON,

Yes, my daughter and me are going to Londen for a few days in October,
just the two of us, the girls in the house!

If any of you have great London ideas for us,
it can be anything, a nice BB or hotel, lovely shops, vintage shops, places to lunch, etc....

We'll love it and be greatful!

Update: I recieved so many wonderful ideas already. Thank you so much...
Now I think we should expand our journey with a few extra days!

This is it for now... groetjes,  Heleen

  1. Mooie tas Heleen! Het doet me denken aan de Opa van Heidi uit de gelijknamige boekenreeks. Dat grijze haar, de muts en de pijp ..... De brede decoratieve band op de tas geeft nog eens een extra alpen-sfeertje eraan. Goed gelukt!

  2. Ooh that is going to be fun. Covent Garden Market is lovely, there is lots of cafe's and the open market is lovely for all bits and bobs - http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://b5media_b4.s3.amazonaws.com/57/files/2007/10/coventgarden1.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.thelondontraveler.com/2007/10/market-monday-covent-garden/&usg=__zG3VrafFNf2qsZJhKOa-XvHvtAc=&h=375&w=500&sz=186&hl=en&start=3&zoom=1&um=1&itbs=1&tbnid=_ACqDkEiKhI8PM:&tbnh=98&tbnw=130&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dcovent%2Bgarden%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DX%26rls%3Dcom.microsoft:en-gb:IE-SearchBox%26rlz%3D1I7GGLL_en%26tbs%3Disch:1

  3. London House Hotel! It's quiet, and important: safe to walk around the neighbourhood in the evenings. It's near Bayswater and Queensway tubestations, and Notting Hill is within walking distance.
I've stayed here several times and it's not expensive (for London standards) and always clean.
Whiteley's shopping mall is right behind it, so it's easy to get breakfast from M&S, for example (instead of the non-included breakfast in the hotel, which consists of toast+black tea)
